USING ALTERNATE SIM CARDS

Network carrier’s main band; SIM cards must be compatible with at least one main frequency band to work.

SIM cards work on multiple frequencies, the more bands and frequencies your SIM card has in common with the devices listed frequencies, the better. It means your lone worker device will be able to pick up either the carrier’s 3G or 4G LTE more readily, in more places.

You want to especially make sure your device works on the carrier’s primary bands, as they represent the majority of the network signal they put out. Check with your local carrier to find out their main frequency band in your area.

*USA CANADA – Comparable SIM cards must use  B2/B4/B12 (4G)

**EUROPE/UK, Africa & ASIA – Comparable SIM cards must use B1/B3/B7/B8/B20 (4G)

OCEANIA/SOUTH AMERICA -Comparable SIM cards must use  B1/B3/B5/B7/B28 (4G)

Please check with your local cellular carrier to see if their SIM cards work on the correct frequencies or visit here for an updated list of possible carriers

How does the fall detection work?

To activate fall detection / Man down automatically, it requires:

– 1 meter or more sudden drop in altitude

– Angle change like falling backward or forwards

– 1n impact thats could cause injury or incapacitation

If the above parameters are met or exceeded, the device starts its emergency sequence.

When the device detects a serious fall, the device will announce “Fall has been detected. Click the SOS button to cancel the fall alert sequence”. If the button is not pressed within 20 seconds the device will send the auto SMS fall down alert messages to the nominated contacts ( can also engage auto outgoing calls to each emergency contact one after the other. Fall detection technology is not perfect and false alarms can take place.

Why is my GPS location not accurate

GPS accuracy depends on your environment & settings.

The device GPS uses satellites and tracks your location up to around 20 meters. When you’re inside buildings or underground, the GPS is inaccurate as the signal finds it harder to get through.

Accuracy also depends on device settings. In default power saving mode, the device turns off the GPS when it has not detected movement for more than 2 min. This saves battery. In the event of an activation or tracking event, the device may give a ‘cold’ fix. This will be a less accurate location finding as the GPS has less time to establish contact to the GPS satellites. When the device detects movement, it tries to stay connected and gives ‘Hot’ fixes (very accurate depending on environment) .

Device can be programed to stay ‘all on’ & connected to the GPS satellites giving a constant ‘hot’ fix however battery life is substantially reduced.

If the device is unable to locate any GPS satellite signals, it will use GSM & Wifi signals to give a ‘relative’ location instead.

I’ve just started my device and the GPS is incorrect

The device needs line of site to satellites to get a full fix.

Leave the device by the window or outside for 15 minutes and it will connect to the GPS and give an updated reading

Are there any ongoing costs?

No, once you purchase it, you own it.

You’ll need to provide your own SIM card with credit in order for the device to operate

What are the recommended settings?

It is recommended that the device be set to send SMS out during emergencies and to have the outgoing auto calling turned off. In the event of an emergency, this allows any of the nominated contacts (up to 10) to immediately call into the device to establish communication.

If the devices is auto calling out, it cannot answer incoming calls.

How long does the battery last?

48 – 72 hours on a single charge. It depends on user settings

It takes approximately 3 hours to charge (magnetic charge supplied)
